Goro had been jamming to whatever music his mp3 player had decided to feed him for the past hour as he walked. While the music played, he began to get lost in his thoughts, until he was fully unaware of the world around him. He strolled right out of the Uptown region of Keibetsu where he lived, by the library, around the lake, all the way up to Keibetsu’s assortment of public schools. [break][break]
His eyes were closed, enveloped by the tunes, as he stepped in front of the main college in town: Keibetsu University. Goro had heard lots about it; it tries to be an honest, good school, but the crime rates are high, due to the illegal selling of alcohol and drugs. He didn’t pay much mind to it, though, since he never went there, and he didn’t really care. Goro began to pace forward once more, but it was at this point that his mp3 player died.[break][break]
Goro took the small device out of his pocket. He used his other hand to bonk it at the top, in hopes it would work again, but the stubborn mp3 player refused to play its melodious tunes. Goro felt frustrated. After such a good, long streak of music, his tunes couldn’t stop now! Goro grunted in protest, even though he knew he couldn’t do anything about it.[break][break]
He looked around the campus. It was fairly empty, just a couple of students walking out of the building. Goro took a deep breath. If he couldn’t listen to his music, he could at least relax for a bit. Hopefully, no one would try to offer him drugs or get rough with him. Looking down at his feet, he walked over to a nearby bench and sat down. What he didn’t notice is that he sat next to a person.[break][break]
It took him a solid minute to actually notice the person sitting next to him. When he finally did, he jumped back a little, surprised as if they had appeared out of thin air. “Sorry,” he said. “You frightened me.”[break][break]
Goro sat back in the seat, staring at the sky. He was feeling very bored at the moment. Might as well make some small talk. Without even looking at the person, he said, “You a student here?”[break][break]

Reiko was wearing a tan top with short shorts with a hoodie. She had walked to Keibetsu University simply out of boredom but as soon as she arrived on campus she found herself wandering towards a bench before sitting down on it. She then proceeded to turn sideways to put her legs on the seat before crisscrossing her leg over the other as means of getting comfortable. There wasn't very many people around and so she found it quite peaceful right at the moment. In fact it was so peaceful she had found herself sitting on the bench for over thirty minutes before Goro had approached. She didn't say anything because it would take too much effort but as soon as he started the process of sitting down on the bench, she quickly moved her legs out of the way, barely being missed being sat on before glaring at him for having the nerve of almost sitting on her when really she shouldn't have been hogging the whole bench to begin with.
It was only a minute or so before Goro had suddenly jumped, speaking about how she had frightened him. Well of course I did. That is why I was glaring at you in the first place. She thought to herself, giving him the silent treatment. Goro sat back down on the bench. Why are you sitting next to me? Are you going to stay very long? I want to put my legs back up on the bench. She thought to herself, sighing when Goro asked his question. "No." She answered before looking in front of her. I have no reason to be here besides killing time. In fact, why am I here? Mom wanted me to enroll in college but instead I chose against it. Not that it matters now anyway simply because she is no longer in my life. She thought to herself before asking, "What about you?" She asked, not really expecting him to answer.
Goro shifted on the bench, beginning to get a little uncomfortable. By the way that the girl glared at him, it looked like she wasn't too happy with Goro. He took another deep breath and looked at the girl directly.[break][break]
"No, um, I don't go here. Sorry, did I do something?" he said, with a little bit of genuine concern, but also a little bit of annoyance. Goro didn't think he did anything wrong, and for this girl to tell him otherwise was a bit rude. He didn't want to get into an argument or anything, but since he was in his own world a minute ago, he didn't completely understand the situation. Awaiting her response, he leaned back on the bench. Perhaps picking a fight with this guy wasn't the best idea but Reiko couldn't help but feel like she had been here first and frankly this was her bench. It was always interesting to see a person apologize. Either they really felt sorry or they were just trying to make things better between people. Seeing as Goro hadn't really done anything wrong, she figured it was likely the second. She slowly lifted her hand up, placing her finger against her chin as if she was thinking of an answer but she already had one in mind. "You almost sat on me." She answered, loving nothing more than to continue but surely that one sentence would give him the hint of why she felt entitled to glare at him. It wasn't anything personal, she'd have acted this way to just about anyone. It just seemed he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. She couldn't help but feel more annoyed when Goro had leaned back against the bench, appearing to her as if he just got comfortable here. "I was here first."
After hearing the woman's words, his face lit up with surprise. He didn't mean to sit on her legs, he just needed a place to sit, and- he needed to- he- [break][break]
His surprise soon turned to a little bit of bitter embarrassment. He became flustered, waving his hands in different directions while saying to the woman, "Oh geez, I'm so sorry ma'am, I just- my music wasn't working, and I was frustrated, but- ugh, that isn't an excuse!" Goro quickly scrambled off of the bench, retreating back into his more quiet personality. He shifted his feet to be more comfortable standing up, then said briefly, "Sorry." [break][break]
It was at this time that Goro has finally noticed the glare on her face. A mean, entitled stare, one that bores straight through the eyes of the victim. Goro was usually lenient, but after the events that just happened to ruin his mostly good day, he was anything but. Returning the glare, he quietly snarled, "What?" [break][break]

Reiko watched as Goro seemed to have become embarrassed, waving his hands around before soon apologizing to her before soon getting off of the bench. She couldn't help but continue glaring at him, simply because his reasons for almost sitting on her legs didn't matter, this was her bench, she was here first and she spoke to inform him of such things. It didn't come as a surprise when Goro returned the glare and asked his question in return. "I... was... here... first..." She answered, speaking slower for the sake of attempting to mock and ensure that he understood her the first time. You'd think he hadn't heard me the first time or something. She thought to herself, soon her glare during into a smug grin as she waited to see what he'd do now.
Goro's mood had plummeted down the toilet since he had lost his music. All of his calmness had evaporated, and and that Goro had left was bitterness about a bench. Which of course, did not go well with the next words he said. [break][break]
"Oh, so sorry. Again." he said in a slightly sassy manner, which transitioned over to an emphatic harshness. "But for the record, this isn't even your bench! Who made you queen of the campus, huh?" He huffed, pissed how the girl could be so smug about it, when he had tried to be apologetic before. [break][break]
Suddenly, his phone buzzed inside his pocket. He didn't have a smartphone, he had an old flip phone that could only receive calls and texts, but it was the only thing he could afford in the moment. He flipped it open to see a text from an Inago soldier who sometimes pawns his work off to him. After inspecting the message, Goro sighed. Another load of heroin to smuggle outside the city for a couple hundred bucks. He flipped his phone shut, and without thinking, he said out loud, "Geez, now is not the time for the Inago to offer me another job..." [break][break]

Reiko didn't believe that Goro was sorry but than again, even if he had been sincere she couldn't bring herself to care. I'm not the queen of campus. She thought to herself as she glared at Goro. "What'd you just say to me?" She asked, daring for him to repeat himself. Goro's phone buzzed and she couldn't help but feel annoyed that he answered it instead of focusing all of his attention on her. He is apart of the inago? Big mistake. She thought to herself as she stood up from the bench. "So your apart of inago. It explains your personality." She answered sarcastically as she attempted to stare him down. "You're apart of the wrong gang!" She snapped, slowly inching closer to her. There was nothing better than getting in somebody's face and right at the moment she was attempting to do this to Goro.
