» Sometimes all a hard-working street journalist needed was a break- that's why Eli found himself held up in the library on a lovely Sunday afternoon, a cup of coffee a true crime novel in hand. He sat silently and alone, flipping page after page soaking in all the carnage. Today was his day to relax- no stories, no truth-seeking, just caffeine and books.
He would occasionally stop and take a sip, eyeing the rest of the library. It was fairly empty 'probably because it's so early....it's not even noon yet' he thought, not that he was looking to see or interact with anyone...but, he always kept his eyes open in case something news-worthy came up. It was something of a reflex of his- to watch people. But, there were times it got him into trouble.
He sighed at the reminiscent thoughts of chaos caused by his story-chasing, his eyes lowering back to the words on the pages. Sometimes, he got bored of all the bad shit in the world- though he would never vocally admit it. For once Eli wanted something boring, something mundane and simple. Eli always chased complexity and depth but it was tiring to say the least.
[attr="class","monbody"] For someone who didn't care to educate themselves or who didn't value the meaning of a good book it was unknown as to why the rugged and aggressive Kallen went to the library that morning. He walked in, a grimace on his face, he had an energy drink in one hand and his a tablet in the other. He scanned the room, his eyes narrowing as they fell on the only other person there, a guy sitting at a table.
He smirked as he made his way over to the same table that the dark haired guy was at, he sat his drink down with force, causing a louder sound to echo throughout the building, obviously this was in an attempt to get the other guys attention. No, Kallen was not going to try and fight the guy in the library, but he lived to bother people, to put it simply he was like a shark and this guy was blood in the water. He just couldn't help himself.
Kallen plopped himself in a chair right across from the guy, as he also sat his tablet down in front of him, much more carefully than he had with his drink. His green eyes now targeting the book that was occupying the dude in front of him, ”what ya reading there princess?” he asked, clearly uncaring of the general vibe of a library being that you left people to do whatever it is that they were doing.
Without waiting for an answer he leaned back, bring his tablet closer to him as he turned it on. He opened up a mobile game, but he failed to turn the sound down out of respect, as one would normally do in such a place. Instead, he proceeded to play, the music of the game playing at an obnoxious volume.
» As he became engulfed in the book he didn't notice the strange pierced up guy walk up. In fact, it wasn't until the guy slammed his drink on the table the he had caught Eli's attention. He peered up at the guy as he made himself at home right across from him.
'Really? This place is dead and you choose to sit here?' Eli tried his best to keep himself from sighing uncomfortably. Obviously he chose to attempt to ignore the other individual and focus on the book in front of him. That was why he had come to the library after all.
However, while trying his best to make it through the page, the other spoke. 'Did this guy just call me princess?' His eyes narrowed back at the guy, his lips turned down into an apparent frown. ”Just a true crime novel, now can I help you with something?” against his better judgment, Eli asked, wondering why in the hell this guy confronted him. Eli leaned back as the other had, staring at him while he awaited a response.
Surely, this guy didn't show up just to pester people right? 'He looks like the type...' Eli thought taking note of the strangers rather unusual style and appearance. He surely looked like someone with a story to tell, 'or a poser.' But that wasn't why Eli was here, and he wasn't going to make it so.
[attr="class","monbody"] If Kallen was good at anything, it was messing with people. He thrived to be obnoxious and something of an asshole, it kept people on there toes and away from him. So when he could see the clear disinterest and annoyance on the other face, his lips couldn't help but to form into a wide grin. 'We are off to such a good start, he's already annoyed.'
The other indulged him with a response, which only fueled the green eyed monster more. He scoffed, ”sounds pretty lame.” His eyes turned to his game, as he continued to beat through the level he was on, unintelligibly ignoring the question that quickly followed the others response.
Only shortly after, his eyes took a break from the tablet to double check the other guys face, ensuring he was still paying attention, and sure enough he was leaned back, staring him down. Kallens grin turned into a frown, ”What? You don't want me to sit here or something?” he asked, pretending to be rather offended by the look of the other.
”Ya know, if you didn't stranger to be near you, then you shouldn't have come to the library....” Kallen spoke in a challenging tone. If it wasn't obvious he was looking to start something, maybe not a fight, but something that's for sure.

» At this point Eli had every mind to get up and leave. The other was being awfully rude, something Eli should have been used to by now. As he leaned back, his eyes locked on the guy, he felt a bad vibe. And when he asked, Eli answered honestly and softly. ”Not really.”
Though when the strange antagonist continued, Eli found himself feeling downright annoyed. This guy absolutely could not be serious. ”Well, us normal people don't typically come to the library to chit-chat,” he said as he motioned slightly to the book he had been distracted from.
With this he leaned in, placing his elbows on the table, resting his chin in the palm of hi hands- his eyes yet to waver from the other across from him. ”If you don't like what these places are used for YOU can leave.” This comment came with a challenging tone, as if Eli were now matching the brunt strangers.

[attr="class","monbody"] Truth be told, Kallen really didn't have a whole lot of common sense. Out of all the places to pick a fight, he definitely picked one that made the least amount of sense. But, with that being said he still kept his composure and devious grin.
Knowing that the guy didn't want him there gave him even more of a reason to stay and be obnoxious, it was like adding fuel to a fire and expecting it to go out. Kallen chuckled softly to himself as he continued to mess around with the game on his tablet. ”Well that's too bad” He said in almost a whisper.
”Guess I'm not normal then,” he said in a combative tone, with a shrug to compliment the comment. It was funny to think Kallen even cared about the purpose of the places he goes- that would require way more awareness than he was capable of.
When the brown haired guy suggested he should leave, his eyes broke from his game temporarily and rested on him. He couldn't help but to once again chuckle, ”how cute....” and if this phrase seemed belittling that's because it was.
