"Drugs, weapons, gangs, violence, corrupt politicians....it's the stuff that fuels a peaceful societies nightmares. We want our children, our families, our friends and our neighbors to be safe. After four years of working on this plot and story- we are finally open. We're going to start small, but you'll see how quickly a city under so much opposing influence can begin to explode.

Goro had been exploring the outskirts of home; the place that was familiar to him the most: Uptown Keibetsu. The sights and smells were comfortably familiar, and Goro was glad to call the part of town home. But once in a while, he would be walking around and stumble upon his old childhood house. The house where his parents had been murdered from the insufferable Yankan. And earlier today was one of those days where he had walked past it. Goro was so caught up in his head that he wasn't watching where he was going, and accidentally bumped into somebody. [break][break]
He got up and dusted himself off, a little dazed about what happened. But then he saw the other person also on the ground, and the puzzle fit together. After hearig the person apologize, he waved his hand from side to side and said, "Oh, don't worry about it. I wasn't paying attention either." He made eye contact and smiled. [break][break]
"Woah woah," Goro said, holding up his hands, "I'm not looking for a fight or anything. Just trying to be funny." He paused for a minute, chuckling a bit before getting serious. "But it didn't work. Sorry about that." With that, he went over and picked up the baby wipes, then pointed at the side of the mansion where the dude had spray painted. [break][break]
Without thinking, without even considering about what he had just done to make the other guy angry, without even taking one small thought to think that the guy might not like his art being cleaned up, Goro said, "That kinda bugs me. I don't know, just ruins the whole vibe of the house. I'm gonna clean it up." [break][break]
Today, Goro was in an interesting kind of mood, one that wanted to make himself feel more uncomfortable. He didn't know why he felt this way; maybe he wanted to shake things up, or he was going crazy, but he just needed to feel out of place for some reason. An hour earlier, he had been in his small apartment, after a long day of transporting cocaine and evading any contact with the cops. This was normal for him, though; this had been his job for a while now. He needed to go somewhere, anywhere, but where? That was the question. [break][break]
What other way to make him more uncomfortable than forcefully put himself in a social class where he didn't grow up. [break][break]
Goro's mission ended up succeeding, because as he walked through the Downtown area of Keibetsu, he felt extremely out of place. The upper-class citizens would give him weird looks because he didn't wear the same clothes, he didn't act the same way, he even talked a little differently. And there were lights everywhere. Giant glowing signs, big street lights, even the reflection of light from little sparkles and sequins from people's clothes; it was overwhelming for Goro. It wasn't that where he grew up, the Uptown, wasn't nice, it was that the Downtown was even nicer. It might have been a mistake to wander out here. [break][break]
Shoulders hunched forward, he continued to stroll down the beautifully paved sidewalk when Goro saw somethingin the corner of his eye. He looked up to see a mansion, one of the many that resided in the Downtown; but what didn't belong was another person spray-painting a x-eyed smiley face on it's nicest windows. Goro walked up to the entrance of the mansion gates, which had been left open. So that was the owner's mistake. [break][break]
Goro wasn't a good person, per se, he was literally apart of a crime gang; but he was a very neat person, and the lopsided smiley face at the side of the house set him off a bit. Pulling a mini-pack of baby wipes out of his pocket, he decided to try and be a little funny. He waited for the guy to walk out of the entrance, then he chucked the pack of baby wipes at his head. After that, making eye contact with the person afterwards, he smiled. [break][break]
It was another one of those days where Goro was wandering aimlessly around Keibetsu, listening to his favorite tunes, getting lost in his own head, and ultimately not paying attention to where he was going. He made sure to charge his mp3 player to 100% before leaving, and he left his phone at home so that he wouldn’t get distracted by any new inago job alerts. He also brought some cash, just in case he found a shop that had something that piqued his interest. All Goro wanted in the moment was bliss, and he had it. It didn’t last for very long, though. [break][break]
Goro didn’t know it, but he had walked far from the parts of town he knew. He looked at the road, and wherever it went, he went. Which is why he didn’t expect it when he stumbled over a curbside. Thankfully, he caught his mp3 player before he hit the ground, but the gravelly concrete below scraped his face, creating a few small cuts. [break][break]
Goro groaned and got up. His hand brushed across his face, and when it did, he winced. Lifting his fingers away, there was a little bit of blood on them. Not a lot, just enough to come from a scrape. Because of this, Goro flicked the blood off his fingers to the gigantic resort next to him, then continued on- wait. [break][break]
Goro craned his neck backwards to get a view of the huge casino resort beside him. He knew what it was; the Katana Resort, casino, hotel, and heart of Inago activity. Since Goro was affiliated with the Inago, he knew he’d be safe to go inside, but the giant structure overwhelmed him a bit. He had never actually been inside, and he had never actually planned to. Up until now. Because even though he was terrified at the sight of it, it also got him a little curious about what was inside. [break][break]
“Holy shit” was the only thought that was in his head at that moment. [break][break]
With that, he stepped through the big, front doors on the resort, and let them slide shut behind him. [break][break]
Goro's mood had plummeted down the toilet since he had lost his music. All of his calmness had evaporated, and and that Goro had left was bitterness about a bench. Which of course, did not go well with the next words he said. [break][break]
"Oh, so sorry. Again." he said in a slightly sassy manner, which transitioned over to an emphatic harshness. "But for the record, this isn't even your bench! Who made you queen of the campus, huh?" He huffed, pissed how the girl could be so smug about it, when he had tried to be apologetic before. [break][break]
Suddenly, his phone buzzed inside his pocket. He didn't have a smartphone, he had an old flip phone that could only receive calls and texts, but it was the only thing he could afford in the moment. He flipped it open to see a text from an Inago soldier who sometimes pawns his work off to him. After inspecting the message, Goro sighed. Another load of heroin to smuggle outside the city for a couple hundred bucks. He flipped his phone shut, and without thinking, he said out loud, "Geez, now is not the time for the Inago to offer me another job..." [break][break]
After hearing the woman's words, his face lit up with surprise. He didn't mean to sit on her legs, he just needed a place to sit, and- he needed to- he- [break][break]
His surprise soon turned to a little bit of bitter embarrassment. He became flustered, waving his hands in different directions while saying to the woman, "Oh geez, I'm so sorry ma'am, I just- my music wasn't working, and I was frustrated, but- ugh, that isn't an excuse!" Goro quickly scrambled off of the bench, retreating back into his more quiet personality. He shifted his feet to be more comfortable standing up, then said briefly, "Sorry." [break][break]
It was at this time that Goro has finally noticed the glare on her face. A mean, entitled stare, one that bores straight through the eyes of the victim. Goro was usually lenient, but after the events that just happened to ruin his mostly good day, he was anything but. Returning the glare, he quietly snarled, "What?" [break][break]
Goro shifted on the bench, beginning to get a little uncomfortable. By the way that the girl glared at him, it looked like she wasn't too happy with Goro. He took another deep breath and looked at the girl directly.[break][break]
"No, um, I don't go here. Sorry, did I do something?" he said, with a little bit of genuine concern, but also a little bit of annoyance. Goro didn't think he did anything wrong, and for this girl to tell him otherwise was a bit rude. He didn't want to get into an argument or anything, but since he was in his own world a minute ago, he didn't completely understand the situation. Awaiting her response, he leaned back on the bench. [break][break]
OOC Notes: None for now. Just starting the thread.

Goro had been jamming to whatever music his mp3 player had decided to feed him for the past hour as he walked. While the music played, he began to get lost in his thoughts, until he was fully unaware of the world around him. He strolled right out of the Uptown region of Keibetsu where he lived, by the library, around the lake, all the way up to Keibetsu’s assortment of public schools. [break][break]
His eyes were closed, enveloped by the tunes, as he stepped in front of the main college in town: Keibetsu University. Goro had heard lots about it; it tries to be an honest, good school, but the crime rates are high, due to the illegal selling of alcohol and drugs. He didn’t pay much mind to it, though, since he never went there, and he didn’t really care. Goro began to pace forward once more, but it was at this point that his mp3 player died.[break][break]
Goro took the small device out of his pocket. He used his other hand to bonk it at the top, in hopes it would work again, but the stubborn mp3 player refused to play its melodious tunes. Goro felt frustrated. After such a good, long streak of music, his tunes couldn’t stop now! Goro grunted in protest, even though he knew he couldn’t do anything about it.[break][break]
He looked around the campus. It was fairly empty, just a couple of students walking out of the building. Goro took a deep breath. If he couldn’t listen to his music, he could at least relax for a bit. Hopefully, no one would try to offer him drugs or get rough with him. Looking down at his feet, he walked over to a nearby bench and sat down. What he didn’t notice is that he sat next to a person.[break][break]
It took him a solid minute to actually notice the person sitting next to him. When he finally did, he jumped back a little, surprised as if they had appeared out of thin air. “Sorry,” he said. “You frightened me.”[break][break]
Goro sat back in the seat, staring at the sky. He was feeling very bored at the moment. Might as well make some small talk. Without even looking at the person, he said, “You a student here?”[break][break]
Goro is decent looking, although he doesn't try very hard to make himself look nice. His dyed blue hair rests as a wavy mop at the top of his head most of the time, and due to lack of sleep, he usually looks very tired, complete with eye bags and pale skin. Most days, he wears ripped jeans, a solid colored t-shirt, and whatever hoodie he sees first. His ideal fashion style is very simple.
PERSONALITY
Goro keeps to himself the most of the time, and usually only talks to people if confronted. He is a very simple person, he likes things simple, and if things aren't simple, he might get a bit flustered. Because of this, he is an organized person and likes things to be in their places. His language is very minimal, he responds with little words unless with very close friends in which he opens up a little more. Goro is very compliant, and is very agreeable towards doing tasks and bending opinions.

BACKGROUND
Goro was born and spent the most of his childhood in the Uptown region of Keibetsu. His parents were the ordinary run-of-the-mill office workers, so his family has always had just enough to provide for each other, and nothing more.
Goro never had the pleasure (or a pain) of a sibling, so he was on his own for a lot of his life. He also never grew too close to his parents. They were there for him to feed him and maybe build a puzzle with him occasionally, but nothing more. So many days when Goro wasn't at school, he found himself walking to the Keibetsu Library. But when Goro entered through the doors, he barely skimmed by the books- what he really went to the library for was the internet and the access to music.
Goro didn't have any preference for what genre of music he liked, because he loved all kinds of music. He would rush to the computers every day to listen to the new and old musical trends. By the time he hit middle school, Goro could have probably sang any song by hearing it's title.
In his teenage years, he did a lot of yard work, eventually saving up enough money to buy an mp3 player for himself- and a few treats occasionally when he felt like it. It seemed as if life couldn't get any better. Until he turned 16; in the year 2016.
News got out that there was a new gang in town. People around town were scared, worried for their safety, but not Goro. His naive butt didn't even hear about it until the Yankan came knocking at his doorstep.
Technically, he wasn't home at the time, but when he did eventually arrive at his house, he was horrified at the sight of his parents dead in the living room with slit throats and the drawers raided of most of their money.
From that day on he was an orphan. For many months he wondered how he could have changed things. If only he had grown closer with his parents; if maybe he had come home sooner. Eventually, he shrugged it off and thought it is what it is.
He lived in a crappy orphanage until he turned 18, when he moved into an even crappier apartment. Before this, during a large portion of high school, he had to live through many school shootings, students and adults offering him drugs, an the talk about the second gang that lurked around the town: the Inago.
Goro was living on his own in his apartment, but his savings began to dwindle. He needed a job; a real one besides yard work. For two months he went job searching, but since his level of schooling was a high school diploma, he couldn't find a job good enough to support him. So he turned to the thing he hoped he wouldn't have to turn to: a job with the gangs.
But he refused to work with the Yankan; they had killed his parents. Unforgivable. But the Inago, on the other hand, had done nothing to hurt him. He began to help them smuggle drugs locally and to towns outside of Keibetsu, and it was enough to provide for himself.
A couple years pass and we are here in the present. He's had a few close calls with the police, but he's gotten by and currently chilling and living a decent life. The best life that a smuggler can get.
