[ [ SITE REGULATIONS ] ] ▼ g e n e r a l [ ! ] It should go without being said but the number one rule that should be put above all others- follow proboard's TOS (terms of service). [ ! ] This is a PG-13 site so we expect for everyone to act like respectable adults. This means try to use minimal amount of cursing, no derogatory/racist remarks, no pornographic material, minimal to mild amount of detail pertaining to drugs, gore and violence. I understand the plot will require references to these, but while we use proboards we must follow their rules. [ ! ] As an additive to the above rue- No pornographic pictures and no mature content there is no warnings on this -- again, PG-13. We may kids lurking here. If it get's a little heated in your post fade to black or take to your inbox/Discord! This goes for any overly-violent scenes as well (we will try our best to write out scenes that won't get us kicked off of proboards). [ ! ] Drama is all fun and games but only when it is kept IN CHARACTER, do not bring any drama to my site out of character, you'll be warned and if you don't listen, well guess what? You'll be banned. We don't want fighting or whatnot out of character, okay? This isn't High School, act like a big kid. [ ! ] Respect is essential here, don't be a douche bag. This means no harassment, no malicious teasing, no derogatory remarks, etc. etc. Just treat others how you'd like to be treated. I do not take this rule lightly- don't be a bully out of character and we won't have any problems, we are all inclusive. c h a r a c t e r [ ! ] One character per account, this does not mean one person can only have one character. This means you must have separate characters on separate accounts. Also an OOC account is recommended. [ ! ] This isn't so much of a rule as it is just a personal preference: when you create your character make their name in all caps- it keeps things neat. And to play off of this- you must use your characters first and last name in the display name. K? K. [ ! ] I don't like setting limits on how many characters a member can have, for all I care you can have 20 but keep them all active (or if you have too many and want to drop some we can unalive them for the sake of an event). Posting once a week is enough. However, I will ask that you get at least ten in character posts before creating another character. [ ! ] Keep characters original. The more genuine, the better. Let's try to do our best to keep away from the conformity of over-depressing pasts and extreme powers, with that being said just remember nobody is perfect either. We support diversity here, so show us what you got. P O S T I N G [ ! ] We don't have a specific roleplaying level or word count, all we ask is that you give enough information and action for your partner to respond to. [ ! ] Use some common sense when roleplaying; don't tlk lik dis OR lik3 d15, and no chat speak. We expect out roleplaying partners to have a good grasp of grammar, spelling, and character creation. Lastly, remember that spell check is your friend. [ ! ] be courteous and put labels in thread names; such as [open] or [closed] and if its a [past thread]. Here's a brief list of example tags: » [open]/[o] : the thread is open and anyone can jump in. try to keep a good posting order. » [closed]/[c] : the thread is closed, and you may only enter with the thread creator's permission. » [reserved]/[r] : same as above. » [invite only]/[in] : same as above, but more anal particular. » [open or whatever other label] [past thread] / [?][pt]: the thread takes place prior to the current year. [ ! ] It should go without being said, but follow the basic etiquette like no godmoding, powerplaying, metaplaying, etc. It's highly frowned upon and rarely tolerated. With that being said refrain from controlling characters that do not belong to you- it's rude can result in suspension. Also, everything should be done with consent i.e. killing another character or breaking into a fight. Try and make sure you and your roleplaying partner are on the same page, set up plots beforehand. (We will ask ask permission to injure someone for the sake of an event.) [ ! ] Roleplay is liquid time -- you can be in as many threads as you want, as long as they are active. This also means you don't have to go off of what the current real life seasons or time. We encourage story-telling, so past-even threads won't be uncommon (however they must be labeled as such- past event threads are any threads occurring prior to the plot timeline or before the current year (2022) ). Site events and plot essential threads are the exception to this rule. (We will go more into plot essential threads as the site grows.) [ ! ] For those of you who don't really want to look for post templates or are simply lazy like myself... There is a 'JUSTIFY FULL' button. Use it well. (This isn't really a rule more of a pet peeve- I like things to be neat) I M A G E [ ! ] If you have yet to notice: this is an animanga site, meaning that all Face Claims used here have to be of ANIME or MANGA nature- you can include comic book characters, and video game characters so long as the art you use follows this guideline. This means that if you're going to use a character from a game, make sure that the art is of Animanga nature. Also please, do not use CGI images, they're gross, I'm sorry. [ ! ] This is not a rule but advice- if you will. Please use the correct sizes for your images around the site: 150 x 150 pixels for the mini-profile, 200 x 300 pixels for the mini-profile avatar and 250 x 350 pixels for your full profile images. Follow your own personal templates rules as they are listed by the creators. [ ! ] Please, use high quality icons for your characters. If you are not good with graphics, it is okay, the staff can help with icons if needed, all you have to do is ask. [ ! ] This is also important, please refrain from using your own art or original character designs. I will be fairly strict about this solely because I do not want to be liable for any "stolen" content, art or ideas etc. This can result in a ban if you claim something that is not yours. With that being said we use face claims strictly for this reason. [WELCOME TO THE DECLINE] |
