His parents hated each other and only chose to stay together because they believed it would be best for him. They frequently fought and even weaponized Jasper against each other until they decided the best thing to do was send him away to boarding school. Each year when he returned home, something was missing. Family photos that immortalized their few happy moments were replaced with dispassionate paintings. Sentimental items like stuffed animals or art projects were missing from their places. The surreal feeling of his home becoming a house was amplified by the screaming matches downstairs every summer when he came home. Jasper doesn't remember his childhood very well and believes it's for the best. He does, however, remember what got him through it. When he was young, he was fascinated with movies. Watching TV was a great distractor from the conflict, and the idea of cinematography fascinated him. He also had an obsession with true crime, originating from movies and branching into literature and beyond. These distractors kept his dissociated mind busy and eventually became his primary field of study. So, with a degree in criminal psychology minoring in film, he decided to make a difference in the world. Noting the crime and corruption in his home city, Jasper decided to join the PBIA. He got the job due to his wide array of skills and knowledges. Currently, he is assigned undercover to infiltrate and gain information on the Yankan. He attained a low ranking in the gang and has already gotten a few people arrested. It's not much yet, but one day he hopes to find some information that can make a real difference.
