vin is a back-alley doctor, so, a whole lot of gang-related people know him and have met him, or even been treated by him. he is known to keep a very neutral stance in gang wars, and is a very trustworthy individual in the sense that he will not sell out critical info he might overhear from either side. he also used to be a very infamous yankan member back in the day, and although he tries to avoid his past, a lot of people still remember him as the mad dog, and make it their business to remind him of it.
FRIENDS
he has never really had any true friends in his life, and he craves for someone who can be on equal ground with him, as well as provide a shoulder to lean on. even though he will not admit all this, he will latch onto a person like this the instant he finds them. but he is also very welcome to friends in the more grounded sense. having been through everything that he has been through, loyalty isn't something he feels like he can demand of anyone, so his standards for friends are pretty low. as long as he can have a pleasant time with someone who shares his views, or even just respects them, he will be happy to call them a friend.
ENEMIES
enemy is a strong word in his mind. he doesn't have enemies. he has people he doesn't like (mainly people he finds immature/loud/inconveniencing), and maybe others consider him their enemy, but it's never that deep for him. there's almost nothing one can do that will make vin consider that person his enemy.
LOVERS
he will easily flirt back, and even flirt at if he is slightly intoxicated, and enjoys one night stands or the occasional friends with benefits, but that's as far as it goes. he has never experienced love, and isn't keen on experiencing it either, considering how much of a headache it sounds like.
VAGUE PLOT IDEAS
- "the regular": someone who constantly gets beaten up and sent to vin for treatment. this can go either way, depending on the reason the character gets beaten up and their general attitude towards the doctor. if they're nice about it, vin will be the dotting uncle who aggressively lectures them about being careful of their health. if they're rude/hot headed about it, vin will be a menace and call them names and make the treatment more painful on purpose. he will still treat them of course, but the experience will not be a pleasant one, especially since it is a repeating one.
- "the drinking buddy": someone vin can hang out with, regardless of drinks or not. a sort of break from life for both of them, either hanging out at his clinic, or at a bar, or out at a park at night, talking about everything and anything just to pass time.
- "the aggressor": someone who knows about vin's past and wants to pull him back into the action. they could aggravate him by calling him by his nickname, or taunt him in other ways, or even plot to pull him into bad situations without his knowledge just to trigger him. this could even be a cop who knows his past and wants to expose him to make it easier to make a late arrest.
