Reiko was wearing a tan top with short shorts. Her pink hair laid across her shoulders. She had walked to Nibui Beach. Why did I go here again? She thought to herself as she looked around to check the area. So far there doesn't seem to be that many people. She thought to herself, feeling happier on the subject. The less people the better. It is surprising to see how many dare to even come out here. She thought to herself before shrugging her shoulders slightly. Well what ever. That is their problem. She thought to herself as she walked towards the ocean as means of enjoying the view. I should be careful. Since I don't have a reason to be here. There isn't a reason for me to stick around, let alone being here in the first place. It would be best to try and avoid problems with them if I can help it. She found herself smiling slightly.
Though should I have problems with them, that would be fine. Hopefully I'll get a chance to beat the crap out of them. She paused as the water rushed up to her leg. It was cold and she found herself attempting to get used to it. As soon as the water went back towards the ocean she found herself walking once more.
[attr="class","monbody"]Sometimes life could be pretty funny, like when you’re stuck at some shitty beach with grossly cemented sand waiting for a delivery of exotic flower from some jerk-off who decided to be hours late, and that’s exactly the hilarious little situation Ryota found himself in except, he wasn’t laughing. In fact, as Ryota lingered miserably around the beach he brushed his hand through his lengthy black locks, sighed, and scanned the area around, hoping to see his guy.
Instead, he caught a familiar glimpse of pink. He narrowed his slate colored eyes in attempt to see her better, yankan recognized yankan. Though, as far as he knew, he was the only one scheduled to pick anything up from the beach, so he wondered ’what is reiko even doing here?’ To be fair, he barely knew anything about her other than the fact they were on the same team, for all he knew she could just be really into disappointing beaches? He smirked at this thought, ’doubtful.’
Though as he watched, he could see her approaching the water, letting the waves greet her legs. Ryota debated just leaving her be, but part of him wanted to figure out if she was there just to relax, or if something else was going on that he wasn’t informed of, not that it was like their boss not to communicate clearly and effectively with them. He slowly approached her, sliding his hands into the pockets of his black sweat pants.
”Didn’t think I’d see a familiar face here,” Ryota spoke, as he stopped at the edge of the waves in attempt to not let his vans get soaked. He looked ahead at the smaller framed being, ”Your names Reiko, right?” He asked, to ensure his own memory hadn’t been shot and that she was actually who he thought she was.

Reiko knew that she didn't have any reason to be at the Nibui Beach. Not unless being bored counted anyway. She had looked around, noticing Ryota but since they hadn't come together and there was a high chance he was there for business over pleasure she had opted to keep her distance from him. It was interesting to see him standing around over there though, normally others were involved but perhaps they were late else why would Ryota still be here? She turned her head to glance towards Ryota after hearing his comment. "Yeah. I wasn't expecting to be here either." She admitted, seeing no harm in telling him. For one they were both apart of the yankan gang, two, it wasn't like her answer was a huge secret that required for her to stay silent. "Yeah, I'm Reiko." She answered with a smile on her face before glancing back towards the water.
"Remind me of your name again." She answered, feeling like she knew his name in the back of her head but it was on the tip of her tongue. She was positive once he told her that it would all come back to her. Plus it gave her an excuse to hear him say it. She took note of the fact Ryota had stopped at the edge of the waves. Clearly he was interested in avoiding the water but the real question was, would he be successful or not.
[attr="class","monbody"]So his memory hadn’t failed him, ’good’. It was something of an odd feeling he got though from such basic interactions, typically he failed to see the meaning behind it. His face remained straight, though amused by the fact she was, indeed, there for herself. He stifled out a soft sigh. ”I see,” he stated rather gently, he looked out to the water. The way it seemed infinite, even though realistically it wasn’t, the way the water would kiss the shores and then run away, only to come back over and over again like a deranged lover, or the way the sky reflected itself on the cerulean mass, so vividly and brightly- it was all quiet peaceful. He could at least try to understand why someone would take the time to bask in it.
Though, her voice brought him back down from this unusual moment of serenity, his eyes shooting towards her. It wasn’t unusual for Ryota to be overlooked, he was quiet and because of his personal beliefs he really didn’t go out of his way to speak to people unless it was for business, he usually felt like it was a waste of time otherwise. So, he didn’t take it personally, especially when he almost forgot her name himself. He wasn’t the most pleasant guy around, but he could at least admit when he’s wrong. ”Ryota,” he said, giving a quick smirk before looking back out at the water.
Ryota always tried to give meaning to the effects of life, though usually not in a positive way, but this typically caused him to search for reason. However, he typically didn’t do so through people, except she was one of his own, so it was a special case. ”So, Reiko, what draws you to be here?” He asked, wondering how her brain worked, though most people to him were lost causes, he tried to give leniency to his associates, life brought them together in this fight, and so it would be foolish of him to go against that by being hostile.
Ryota took a moment to glance back and scan the beach, still not seeing the vendor he was supposed to be meeting. He frowned, exposing his clear disappointment with the situation. How was he supposed to sell product that he doesn’t have? He rolled his eyes, ”Some people need a lesson on punctuality,” he voiced in almost a whisper, as if it were meant to be a thought but had escaped the prison of his brain through his lips. His eyes rested once again on the water, sighing, ’At least this gives me something to do while I wait.’

Reiko knew that normally the Nibui Beach was used for the sake of importing drugs but it didn't detour her from choosing to come here out of boredom. It wasn't like she attempted to bring attention to herself so that the deal would go south or anything like that. She knew how to keep her distance and seeing as he knew who she was, it was less likely a problem for his company to be unaware of the fact that she was apart of the yankan gang too. She glanced back towards Ryota when he had given her his name. A smile appeared on her lips as she turned to look back towards the water. That is right. I remember who you are now. She thought to herself, before being pulled from her thoughts when Ryota had asked his question. "I was bored." She answered before glancing towards him. "And I figured there wouldn't be many people here if at all." She admitted before once more looking back towards the water. She was tempted to ask why he was here, seeing as she didn't keep track of where everybody was at but it felt like her question had been answered when Ryota made his comment.
She couldn't help but chuckle, having found Ryota funny. "So you are here for business over pleasure." She answered before once more glancing towards him. "I do agree thought." She added, having always found it annoying when she had to wait on other people. "What is the point in a schedule if others refuse to keep it, therefore wasting our time in the process?" Though her comment had come out as a question, she wasn't expecting an any answer to it. "Have you been waiting long?" She asked, feeling herself somewhat curious. Of course if Ryota chose not to tell her that would be fine too, she wouldn't press him on the matter since frankly it wasn't any of her business.
[attr="class","monbody"]’Ah, of course, boredom.’ It was a familiar concept to Ryota, however not as personal. He found it easy to contest the feeling himself, but knew all too well that it was a menace to society. Boredom is one of the many reasons he has clients, not that doing drugs should be the cure to that- but it was a reality they lived in. At least, Reiko had seemingly managed to find a healthier way to deal with it, and at least she was perceptive. Nibui beach was surprisingly not a major hotspot, more than likely because of its use of import for illegal contraband, but also it just wasn’t as nice as other beaches. Not that Ryota liked to spend his time comparing beaches.
”Typically, you’d be right. This place isn’t the nicest around,” he responded with a smirk, though, the view would argue his statement, ”well, parts of it aren’t anyway.” He focused back to the sluggishly gray sand, taking a step back to avoid one of the higher waves.
His gaze soon flickered back onto Reiko, ’did she just giggle at me?’ His hands slid from his pockets, crossing his arms across his chest, he looked back at the area around them, soaking in her words. Giving a nod in agreement, she seemed smart, smarter than most of the people he was forced to interact with on the beach, maybe he was the exception to drug dealers being dumb, but it was exhausting really. ”I like your perspective.” Was that an actual compliment? While spoken with a straight face, it was, something Ryota rarely did.
”Longer than I should have been,” he responded with a hinge of disappointment in his voice. ”You would think with all the money we’ve been pulling in we’d be able to afford better vendors,” he added, he had no reason to keep these thoughts from one of his own, and after all Ryota was still a human, who would never admit that he does believe sometimes having a random conversation isn’t so bad. With this thought he cleared his throat, ”Have you ever done a drug run before?” His type of small talk, was abnormal, but he was curious. He spent most of his teen and adult like dealing with the Yankan, yet never really got to know any of them.

Reiko nodded her head when Ryota commented about the beach. It was true after all but seeing as it was still less popular than the other beaches it was the place she'd much rather stop at. She couldn't help but feel amused when Ryota stepped back to avoid one of the higher waves getting him. "You know, for one not wanting to get wet. You're taking one hell of a chance being this close to the water." She answered with a smile. I would find it amusing if you got wet despite all efforts of keeping you pants dry. She thought to herself, not admitting her thoughts right at the moment. It was nice to hear him compliment her. It just made her feel like she was doing something right even though she had simply giving her opinion this time around. "I see." She answered, somewhat surprised that Ryota had given her an answer at all. Though she secretly wished she knew the exact time simply because it wouldn't surprise her if he had been waiting for hours.
"Yeah but even with money we have to be cautious in case they aren't trustworthy." She answered, knowing all to well that sometimes money didn't equal trustworthy. But that is where she came in, reminding them that they had better kept their mouth shut so that they could do business else they'd regret it. She glanced towards Ryota when he asked his question. "No." She answered before adding, "I'm just like everybody else and familiar with this being a spot to pick up is all." She knew others in the yankan gang likely knew too. "I'm more of a physical." She answered, curious on if Ryota would get what she meant or if she would have to explain it to him. It never ceased to amuse her that most in this position happened to be men and she was capable of doing damage to get the job done herself.
[attr="class","monbody"] Admittedly the smaller being had a point, and he couldn't help but to chuckle softly in agreement and at his own expense. He uncrossed his arms letting his hands slide back into his pockets, and with a wistful sigh he muttered ”Let's just agree that my simple human curiosity put me in this predicament and leave it at that.” Looking back to Reiko, he couldn't help but to give a smirk. She seemed clever, or so he gathered. His eyes met once again with the mesmerizing water, so vast in retrospect.
He found himself once again at the hands of agreement, no money did equal trust, but trust was a two way street. With every deal comes with it's own set of rules, spoken or not. ”Yes, but if that's the case, then they already broke our trust in them to show up as and when planned.” He spoke firmly, not breaking eye contact with the water, ”failure to comply with an arranged schedule can be just as dangerous as someone who can't keep their mouths shut.” It was with this he had a thought 'though I guess this is the way it was intended to be...how ridiculous'.
As Reiko answered his previous question he couldn't help but to raise an eyebrow, 'so you're the muscle in a fight?'”Interesting,” he said, his eyes once again resting on her, he wasn't dumb, he knew to never underestimate anyone. It was a simple fact of life, people aren't always what they seem and Ryota would be foolish to think Reiko could be anything less than what she proves to be.
Though, this thought didn't entirely keep him from diving deeper into the subject, ”I wouldn't have expected that, but I guess there's a point to made in that fact,” he said with an almost cynical smile. ”Don't get me wrong though, you've got to strong to be apart of something like this.” Ryota added, hoping this would clarify how impressed he is with her title in the gang. Ryota was smart, realistic, and analytic, this made his strong in the line of logistics and product management within the Yankan, He was yet to have a deal go south since he settled in and he didn't plan on ever breaking that either.

Reiko glanced towards Ryota briefly before nodding her head, once more turning to look back towards the water. "Yeah." She answered in agreement before briefly glancing towards Ryota before once more looking back towards the water. "Just means when we get tired of it, we'll have permission to take action." She answered, not seeing a difference between getting permission and being ordered to do so. Some might not care to have permission but she was violent and since that was known of course she'd be on that'd require permission else she wouldn't bother waiting for orders before taking such actions. "Yeah, I suppose it would come as a surprise unless you were familiar with my upbringing. Not everybody is but I've no problem proving the fact." She answered, chuckling but not planning on doing anything. "I understand." She answered, glancing towards Ryota with a smile on her lips. "You should see the look on their faces when they realize they messed with the wrong person." She than glanced back towards the water.
"Father raised me well." She muttered, having no problem with her chosen life style. Looks like his company still hasn't arrived. She thought to herself, having taken notice when she had been peeking towards Ryota the last few times. This won't do. She thought to herself, knowing that Ryota could handle this himself should it come down to it. "Sooo any plans after this?" She asked, curious on what Ryota would say.
[attr="class","monbody"] It didn't have to be said but Ryota was able to gather that Reiko was a rather unique individual, seemingly smart but potentially a physical threat in such a small package. Her opinion on the matter at hand managed to stifle a smile out of the tall dark haired man, ”That's a rather interesting perspective,” he said with a nod, ”and you aren't wrong either.” Ryota took a moment, his eyes greeting the waves pushing and pulling in front of him. He was tired of waiting on this vendor, and perhaps action was needed in this scenario.
He pulled his phone out of his pocket, still keeping his ears open to Reiko, he was fairly decent at multitasking. 'Hey, the vendor hasn't shown up yet. It's been over an hour, what's the plan? We can't make money if we don't have any product.' He sent a text to the one who facilitated this whole arrangement, hoping there would be a decent solution.
Hearing Reiko's response come from such incredible confidence, he couldn't help but to radiate his respect. With a friendly smirk he followed, ”You've already proved it to the right people, that's deserving of respect.” His eyes found themselves resting back on his comrade, he actually felt good about their conversation, typically Ryota didn't find interest in people, and he did try with those in the Yankan, but it was all surface. Though this though vanished with a chuckle, as Reiko mentioned the regret her enemies would feel by underestimating her. 'I'm sure it's a beautiful feeling,' he thought.
'So her father trained her....' he raised an eyebrow, as he barely caught those words. Though he decided not to bring it up, she seemed to be something of a firecracker and he deemed it unwise to go around poking bears. Thankfully she changed the topic, ”I'm not sure, I texted the boss, but he hasn't responded yet.” He responded, double checking this phone to ensure he had no new messages. This wasn't how the Yankan typically operated, he frowned and took another step back avoiding a wave that got a little too close. 'This situation is rather unfortunate...”At least I ran into you...” This came out in a barely audible tone, as if it were more of an accidental thought slipping. But it was true, he would have been way more ticked off if Reiko hadn't been there to distract him from this shitty deal.

Reiko nodded her head when Ryota spoke. Watching the water had killed her boredom for a bit but Ryota was the real reason why she wasn't bored. She was sure that it would have come back quickly if Ryota hadn't been around distract her. She found herself peeking around them, still curious on if Ryota's company showed up, to her disappointment it seemed Ryota would have to handle it after all. "I suppose you're right." She answered when Ryota had mentioned how she had proven herself to the right people. "I've no problem proving it to anybody else however. In fact it gives me great joy." She answered, not admitting that she wasn't a fan of losing because frankly who would be but it didn't change her attitude on how she felt about proving herself in the first place. She loved having things to do after all. She than asked Ryota her question, listening as he made his comment in return. "I see." She answered with a small smile on her face.
Maybe if I'm lucky I'll get to involve myself into this situation. We'll show them not to mess with us even if they were just simply late. She thought to herself, being pulled from her thoughts when she heard Ryota's comment. "Yeah, I'm happy I got to run into you too Ryota." She glanced towards him with a smile, curious to see his face expression. "I'll gladly wait here with you until you've been contacted by the boss or they bother showing up if you'd like." She offered, curious on if Ryota would rather have her stay or to head out first.
[attr="class","monbody"] It was rather odd for Ryota to have such a decent time in the presence of another person, it helped that she was a part of the Yankan. He had a belief that the blood of the covenant was stronger than the water of the womb. He held fierce loyalty to his comrades, and Reiko was not an exception. In fact, she quiet surprised him, which is an impressive feat to accomplish.
It was amusing in all the right ways to hear Reiko speak with such buoyancy, he could have gone as far as saying it was rather admirable in a peculiar way. She even managed to get a small laugh out of him, ”Aggressive with intent and no shame?” He peered at the pink haired female in front of him, a soft smile planted on his fair skinned face, ”I like that, shows character.” He quickly looked back to the ocean, this experience was slowly starting to turn around.
Reiko threw him off guard as she responded to him, ’I guess I did say that too loud, hopefully she doesn’t get the wrong idea…’ He cleared his throat, and avoiding having to look at her he said, ”Well, good two allies on the same page.” It was even more surprising to him that she was willing to wait the vendor out with him, surely she could only stand so much of the beach, right? Ryota was already over the situation, and not in a positive way, he, oddly, didn’t want her to have to suffer with him.
However, before he could respond his phone vibrated, a message from the boss. ’If he shows up, do whatever you have to do to teach him that’s not how we operate. If you can get the supplies without paying, I can deal with the retaliation.’ A devious smile curled across his face, his momentary brush with embarrassment quickly vanished. ”Well, I did get word to deal with it accordingly.”
Thinking for a moment, he realized he wanted to let Reiko take charge of the situation. If the guy showed up, it would give Ryota a good idea of how she handled such situations, and she did say she enjoying dealing with confrontation. ”If he shows, how would you feel about teaching him his lesson on punctuality?” He asked, narrowing his eyes, almost as if he were giving the smaller human a challenge. One he hoped she would take.

Reiko didn't mind Ryota's comment about her because it was true and frankly she viewed it more as a compliment which she frankly believed was his intent. I'm glad you think so. She thinks to herself, deciding to keep her thoughts to herself instead of speaking out loud over the subject. She couldn't help but smile slightly when she heard Ryota clear his throat. Did I make things awkward? Oh well. She thought to herself, chuckling at the thought. "Yup." She agreed as she looked at the ocean. She than made her comment to Ryota, waiting silently for him to answer. She glanced towards him when Ryota mentioned that he got permission to deal with it. Well good. Now we're talking. She thought to herself as she looked to see if his company bothered showing up yet or not. "I'd love to." She answered, lifting her hands up, she popped her knuckles.
It has been a while since I got a chance to teach another a lesson. I'm ready to give it a go again. She thought to herself, clearly excited over the idea of harming his company. It wasn't long before a noise could be heard in the distance, a sound of a car parking in the destination that Ryota had been waiting previously. "Shall we?" She asked, instead of waiting for Ryota she lowered her hands to her sides before walking in that direction.
[attr="class","monbody"] ’And she’s not above taking this kind of work on.’ Ryota thought with a smile, he was impressed by her willingness to take action; it wasn’t something he saw every day, especially from someone like her. He attempted to shrug off the rather, awkward interaction, ’if that’s what we can even call it. Typically he liked to have a game plan, he was analytic and strategic and only fools went into fights without a plan.
But, they unfortunately and seemingly didn’t have the time. Before he could say anything they heard a car pulling up to the parking just across the sand. His phone vibrated, showing a message from an unknown number saying ’I’m here. As he was about to relay this, Reiko had already began charging the situation. ”Well, damn.” He mumbled with a light chuckle, she was definitely something else.
Following her he tried to come up with a quick plan. ”So we need to get the supplies too, I figure I’ll distract him and you can take him out? We have to see the product first though, I don’t want to risk taking the time to have to find it.” He spoke with urgency, it sounded solid coming out, however execution was what mattered.
As the approached the male, Ryota gave him an assessment. He might have been roughly five feet and nine inches, just a little shorter that Ryota but taller than Reiko by a fair amount. He had some weight to him, maybe close to two-hundred pounds? Reiko was small, but that didn’t have to be a disadvantage. Ryota sped up, in attempt to take the lead. ”You’re late? Where is my shit?” Ryota said, his voice low, his tone much darker than his previous conversation with Reiko.
He didn’t treat anyone the same way he treated true members of the Yankan, he ran the risk of Reiko seeing how cruel he could be, but she seemed like she was similar, or so he had hoped. Though it was unusual for him to care, he cleared his throat trying to clear his mind of that particular subject. ”Stop wasting my time and grab the stuff.” He then demanded, seeing the guy was clearly taking his time to shuffle through the car.
He glanced back to Reiko, softening his gaze, he felt like she could handle it. ’No, I know she could handle it.’ He thought before looking back at the vendor, just waiting for a glimpse of the weed.

Reiko didn't slow her pace when Ryota had caught up to her, figuring that if he needed to he could catch up with ease. She listened as Ryota spoke and she nodded her head to acknowledge what he had said. Sounds good to me. She thought to herself, happy that she got to do this even though it meant his company would have to suffer for it. That is what happens when you're late and you take us for granted. She thought to herself as they approached the man who had just arrived with their product. She looked him over, noticing his height and weight. The bigger they are, the harder they fall and it isn't impossible. In fact he'll likely let his guard down because he doesn't view me as a threat or Ryota assuming this is the first time we're doing this to him anyway. She thought to herself, believing this to be the first time but it was possible his male had been attacked by them before but she didn't keep track of all of their victims unless she was the one doing it. She couldn't help but smile as Ryota spoke to the male, choosing to stay silent as she waited to see how the male would react to them.
Ryota spoke to the male and she found herself holding the urge to attack the male. He is wasting our time on purpose. She thought to herself as she watched the male shuffling through the car. She noticed Ryota glance towards her, she before he was once more looking back at the male. She tapped her foot on the ground, waiting for the moment when she'd finally get to teach this male a lesson for being late. They always take their time. Should I break something besides knocking him out? I normally refrain but I think in this case I'll make an exception. People who waste my time, our time, aren't worth leaving alone. They desire the punishments we dish out to them. She thought to herself, smiling as she waited for the male to show Ryota the product already.
