"Drugs, weapons, gangs, violence, corrupt politicians....it's the stuff that fuels a peaceful societies nightmares. We want our children, our families, our friends and our neighbors to be safe. But, the Yankan and Inago have been coming in hot, feuding over who will win, who will gain control of our once thriving city at the expense of innocent lives. The government officials are doing everything they can to stop them, but they can't all be trusted either, can they? Life has been turned upside by the greedy and malicious hands of the gangs, officers and politicians and our once safe city, is no longer that. It is time for us to start picking sides, or hiding, because this is only the beginning the decline..."

[attr="class","monbody"] Ryota felt confident in the situation. He was a fairly observant man, and had a nice track record of having deals go his way. However, he was usually by himself, adding another person into the mix definitely provided its own set of risks. Though he tried to extend his confidence out to Reiko, as he had faith she was as strong as she claimed. She deemed to be significant and Ryota would have to be an idiot to try and underestimate her.
A devious grin crept onto Ryotas face as the guy stood up from out of the car, a medium sized duffel bag in his hand, he asked Ryota about the money. ”Yeah, my friend here will take care of the payment,” he responded with an almost conceited manner while stepping back to her side. If she could take him down, Ryota could secure the product. And having parked further up the lot, they could make a run and get out after the deed was done, it seemed like an almost flawless plan.
However, despite the solidness of this plan, a brief feeling of nervousness still found its way into his brain, more specifically a hinge of concern for the smaller woman he had just truly met. ’If anything goes wrong, I’ll have her back though.’ Though through this thought Ryota tried to tell himself his place of care was only because she was a Yankan, one of his own. Right? He shook the pestering idea away; this wasn’t the time or place. Shit was about to get serious. He looked to the pink haired beauty, waiting to witness the carnage.

Reiko stopped tapping her foot on the ground when the male had finally stood up from the car, holding a duffel bag in his hand. The male asked about money, it took a lot of effort to avoid reacting. He honestly doesn't know what is coming for him. They never do. She thought to herself as she listened to Ryota make his comment. "Hey there." She answered, attempting to have an innocent smile as she waved at the male as means of distraction. This will be easy. She thought to herself as she slowly approached the male. Of course I don't have money on me, but you don't care about that, do you? She thought to herself, staying silent as she continued walking closer to the male. With an innocent gaze, she stopped just in front of the male before slowly lifting her hand up. Perhaps he had possibly mistaken it as a possible attempt to touch his face, what ever the reason, she managed to punch him straight in the nose.
"I've always loved a good excuse." She answered before kicking the male in the stomach, watching him stumble to his knees. "Being late is just another excuse." She mumbled, not really for the male to hear but he was within earshot of possibly hearing her as she kicked him in the side, forcing him to fall onto the ground. She than proceeded to kick him on his side, chest, neck, and face. This is for making me wait when you saw us standing there. She thought to herself before suddenly stomping on his hand, there was a cracking noise. I want you to suffer but I think if we stick around much longer, Ryota might become nervous. So this is your warning. She thought to herself before kicking the guy in the face in an attempt to knock him out. She than glanced towards Ryota, ready to run if he was.
[attr="class","monbody"] For what it was worth, Ryota wasn't quiet sure what he had expected. Reiko had such a fierceness to her that appealed to the generally unamused man. He made sure to stay out of her way during the take down- admiring hear straightforward and brute approach from a relatively safe distance, all while calculating his plan.
He gave her an assignment, and she took it without hesitation. As soon as she had him on the ground, Ryota saw his opportunity, as Reiko crushed the others hand Ryota approached swiftly, yanking the bag. Admittedly, the others approach to the situation was different than how he would normally handle things, but it was effective nonetheless. After the final blow, his eyes met hers, ”Take this and follow me to my car, we can stop further up the beach and wait for word on what to do next,” he spoke quickly.
As he gave control of the bag to Reiko his eyes met the vendor on the ground, he seemed completely out, 'she's not bad. he thought before walking in the direction of his car. Ryota had a tendency to turn any human part of his brain off when it came to down to business. There was no room for emotions or doubts, especially when you partook in dirty business.
As he approached the car he glanced back to ensure Reiko and the bag were still behind, he pulled the keys from his pocket and unlocked the doors, he popped the trunk, and motioned for the female to throw the bag inside. ”I'm impressed,” he spoke softly, as if the prior event were something casual- though it was anything but.
The male proceeded to get in the driver seat of the car, and while he wait for Reiko, he felt a hint of triumph. He hadn't had a deal that exciting in what seemed like ages, and the best part? They didn't lose the money and Ryota found someone who knew how to get shit done.

Reiko had noticed Ryota approach swiftly to grab the duffel bag. She proceeded to kick the male in the face in an attempt to knock him out before noticing Ryota was handing the duffel bag to her. She reached out and took it in her hands and nodded her head in understanding. She waited for Ryota before following him in the direction his car was parked. That was so much fun. I wonder if I should have done more but the last thing I'd want to do is get carried away. She thought to herself as she silently followed after Ryota. As soon as Ryota approached the car he had glanced towards her, she came up to the car and placed the duffel bag in the truck. She smiled when Ryota seemed to praise her, moving towards the passenger's side of the car when Ryota had moved towards the driver's side. She opened the car door and slipped inside, taking a seat before closing the door behind her.
She than proceeded to put the seat belt on, not that she really cared about the law but she was aware of the dangerous of not wearing a seat belt and was more interested in surviving then being stubborn about it. "That was fun." She answered, sighing in relief. I wish it hadn't come to an end. She thought to herself, desiring more people to attack.
[attr="class","monbody"] Everything was going flawlessly, they had the stuff, nobody got hurt. 'Well, except for that one guy, but he should have been here on time. Getting into the car, he felt like he could relax a little, he looked over to Reiko, his expression softened entirely. ”Yeah, you took him down pretty quickly,” he said looking back to ensure the guy wasn't getting up to come after them. Ryota didn't expect him too though, anyone who had been dealing with the Yankan long enough was more than aware of what they were capable of, and coming back to that would only be a death sentence.
As he put on his seat belt and started the car he spoke once more, ”ya know, maybe I can see about you coming with me on more of these deals if WR approves,” he pulled the car out of its current spot, and began to drive slowly up the parking lot, in an attempt to find a different location on the beach to await further orders. ”I could use someone who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty.” It wasn't that Ryota couldn't fight, or wouldn't if he absolutely had to, it was more so that he felt like it was beneath him. Ryota had wits and manipulation on his side, and the majority of the time he could get out of a situation without having to throw hands.
That being said, he did value the importance of physical and brute strength, and seeing as he was starting to favor Reiko, it only made him more inclined to include someone with such attributes on his missions. He brushed his hair back and sighed, upon finding another spot that was far enough away from the scene they had left, he parked. ”So, I guess we can wait until I get word on what to do with this crap, if you still wanted to stick this out with me...” It was almost as if he were asking her not to leave, his slate colored eyes meeting her once more, a gentle smiled placed on his face.
Part of him wanted to see the water again, he felt as though something special had been interrupted by their less-than-great vendor. Ryota really felt like he was getting somewhere with himself, a better understanding of self-care if you will. Realizing he had been almost staring at Reiko he looked back to rear view mirror, seeing the ocean, it was really shaping up to be a not so bad day.

Reiko couldn't help but enjoy hearing the praise coming from Ryota. "Just doing my job." She answered, still smiling as she thought to herself. The perks of enjoying my job. She was silent as Ryota spoke, unsure on if she'd be able to or not. "I'd love to." She answered, having no problem with it should she be available. Of course if she was busy she wouldn't be able to attend but she figured Ryota would know this just because they each had their roles to play here and hers was normally on short notice. I'm sure you could and I don't mind helping out. She thought to herself, unsure of what to say she just smiled and stayed silent. As soon as they parked she checked her phone, so far she had no new messages. When Ryota spoke she slipped her phone back into her pocket. "I'd love to wait it out with you, Ryota." She answered figuring he already knew that if she couldn't stick around it likely would be work related at this point.
"I'll let you know if something comes up." She added, trying to ensure Ryota she wasn't interested in ditching. Should she have to leave it wouldn't be personal. "So what happens now?" She asked, curious on what would happen with the duffel bag now. It was the first time she got the chance to see how these dealings went down and she wasn't sure if Ryota was waiting for orders or instructions for a drop off spot.
[attr="class","monbody"] Ryota snapped quickly back to reality when he realized he needed to communicate that the goods were secured. He pulled his phone out, shooting a quick text to WR, Hey, we got the shit and taught him a lesson....where should we meet to drop it off?. Hopefully, they'd hear back soon. Ryota produced a sigh as he worked his phone back into his pocket. He was once more greeted with the voice of Reiko.
A minute grin curved onto his face as he diverted his attention to the fierce woman. Pleased, she had agreed to wait this mission out and even more so that if it were to ever come up she'd be down to assist him. Ryota knew the working mechanics of the Yankan- everybody had their place. But perhaps expressing his need of an occasional bodyguard would allow for them to have more of these fun little adventures.”Good to hear,” he said in a low tone, his eyes slowly moved from her to the dashboard of his car, squinting as if he were thinking hard in response to her question.
”Well, I texted our boss, so I guess we kill time until something comes up?” He spoke, as if he were asking her if it was okay- something that was rather odd for him. In fact, he hadn't really felt himself during his entire interaction with Reiko, typically he didn't feel like he had to get someones permission to do something, he was the type to demand not ask, but that felt impossible with her. 'Probably because I know it'd be a problem if I ever did demand anything....she wouldn't like me much. And that was it....why did he even care if she liked him? Yeah they played for the same team but that didn't necessarily mean everyone had to like each other.
Ryo caught himself feeling flushed from this thought, ”How about we go see the water one more time?” he asked looking for any excuse to get out of the car with her. He instantly opened the door, pulling himself out. His face was pink with lingering thoughts of admiration as he marched towards the beach one more time, forcing himself not to look back to see if she would follow. He wasn't worried about leaving the car unattended either- 'that guy would have to have a death wish to try and steal it back....' Ryota thought as he approached the lines where the waves met the sand.

Reiko listened as Ryota mentioned what would happen next. "Sounds good." She answered , nodding her head in agreement, feeling like it would be fine if they were to kill time by waiting here. Ryota than asked his question but before she got a chance to answer, he was already opening up the door and exiting the car. She took her seat belt off and opened the door before exiting the car herself, closing it behind her. He ran off pretty fast. Maybe he doesn't care to linger in the car for long periods of time? She couldn't help but smile at the idea, unaware of the real reason why Ryota had left the car, heading towards the beach where the waves met the sand. She stopped at the sand, still nearby but not as close to the water edge as he had gone. She found herself staring at Ryota's back, as she slowly took a seat. It wasn't really the fact that she wanted distance from him but she was tired of standing and desired to have some time just sitting.
I wonder how long Ryota normally has to wait to before he gets to drop them off. She thought to herself, curious on what he did on a daily bases. "Are you sure you aren't trying to get wet?" She shouted playfully as she watched him, waiting to hear what he'd say back to her.
[attr="class","monbody"] As the tall lanky figure was once more met with the outstanding open view of endless waves of blue he couldn't help but to exhale a deeply relaxed sigh. His slate eyes lowered to the sand, taking a moment to truly soak in that moment of peace, something that was quiet rare for the guy. The entirety of his day had been chaotic, all the way up until that very moment.
All the excitement of the previous deal had started to wind down, despite it not being truly over until he could get the shit to their boss. Though, who knew when they would respond. He stood, his hands the pockets of his sweats, just at the edge where the water met the earth. His brain recounting the last few moments- it was exciting, but Ryota felt almost tired. His whole existence surrounded by the Yankan, it was in his blood, it was his place in the universe- or so he would tell himself. That was his reality and there's nothing wrong with that, right?
Thankfully this thought was cut off by Reiko, per usual. Glancing back with a single eyebrow raised, ”If I were trying to get wet, I would have brought something to swim in...” he responded as realisticly as he could, Ryota wasn't known to take jokes all that well. He huffed, adverting his attention back to the view as he added ”You're the one who was ankle deep in this shit earlier, why aren't you out here then?”
There was something exciting about the shorter pink haired woman, even though Ryota had only spent so little time with her she had kept him on his toes the entirety of that time. Not to say that he necessarily liked wild people, but this one was different.

Reiko smiled when Ryota glanced back towards her, she chuckled when he gave his answer. "Well I mean you could always fall in too." She answered, chuckling at the idea of Ryota becoming wet even though he wasn't wearing anything intended for that purpose. That would be a sight to see. She thought to herself. "That is true." She agreed, being reminded that she hadn't even bothered taking her shoes off. "I suppose I wasn't bothered by the idea of possibly falling in." She chuckled at the idea of becoming wet but than again it wouldn't be good to get the stuff in her pockets wet. "I decided to relax over here instead. I'm still waiting to see if you'll get wet or not." She admitted as a grin formed on her face. It was difficult to believe that he wouldn't get wet when he was standing by the edge. She knew it wasn't the nicest thing to think about either but she couldn't help but secretly feel hopeful for a show. Or just staring at Ryota's back would work too. Both were fine with her.
[attr="class","monbody"] Clearly Reiko was looking for something to be humored by, and after the experience they just had together, maybe he owed it to her. He sighed heavily, shaking his head, 'what is this lady doing to me. he thought as he took a few steps further away from the waves. His shoes and socks off, and took his phone out of his pocket, double checking to make sure the volume was up, so once their boss reached out with drop-off instructions, he'd know immediately. He placed his phone next to his shoes and walked back over the waters edge, pulling his sweats up just to his knees he waded in, wincing at the coldness of the water.
He turned slowly to face her, ”You happy now?” He asked with a cold tone, he frowned thinking about the sand that was going to stick to him once out of the water, it really was his least favorite part about beaches. It frustrated him even more that he was going to have to track that crap into his car. Before she could answer he rolled his eyes and turned back to face the rest of the liquid.
The water that devoured his legs didn't feel too bad though, once he was able to adapt to the coolness. He breathed in deeply, attempting to make the best of his effort to amuse his pink-haired counterpart 'I don't understand how being damp and covered with sand is enjoyable.' He thought to himself, as he found it hard to remove his unimpressed feelings of going out of his way to get in the water.
Though, he didn't do it for nothing. Glancing back briefly at Reiko, his mind mumbled 'hopefully she appreciates this. Typically he wasn't the type to humor others or to give them any type of satisfaction, but she did just assist him in stealing drugs from a guy, so in his mind it was able to justify doing such a thing, at least just this one time.

Reiko watched as Ryota moved away from the waves. Did he decide to not risk getting wet after all? She thought to herself as she watched him curiously. Ryota removed his shoes and socks and phone on the sand before walking back to the water edge. Interesting. She thought to herself as she watched Ryota lift his sweats up to his knees before wading into the water. She couldn't help but smile, raising a hand to her lips as she attempted to hold back a chuckle when Ryota had turned to face her. "Yes." She answered, amused by his cold tone and frown. She chuckled when Ryota rolled his eyes and turned back towards the ocean. I still wish he'd get wet more but we'll see what happens. She thought to herself before lowering her hand back to her side. It hadn't crossed her mind that sand would possibly get stuck to him later, only the idea of him becoming wet in the first place. Ryota glanced back towards her, she found herself still smiling at him.
I'm surprised he got wet for me but I'm happy too. She thought to herself, unsure on why she cared in the first place. It just had been in random thought in her head that failed to disappear. "The water is nice, huh?" She asked, having found it cold at first but nice later on but than again she hadn't really gone into the water but had allowed it to get her feet wet.
[attr="class","monbody"] It was an odd thing, to say the least, for a man like Ryota to even attempt to wade around in water just for fun. But, he couldn't help but to smile to himself as he heard Reiko's response, she was indeed pleased with his attempt to amuse her. Not that it really mattered that much. Though, much to his surprise it didn't feel all that bad.
So when the other asked him if was nice, all he could do was shrug and say ”It's about what I expected,” in a joking way. Did Ryota actually feel kind of happy about this whole situation? He cleared his throat, turning to face her, attempting to maintain his cold facial features- he couldn't give her complete satisfaction. ”I don't get what the big deal is though.” He said with a small grin, almost unable to stop himself from expressing a minute amount of pleasure.
Though during this interaction, his phone chimed indicating he had gotten a message and with that his brain immediately snapped back into it's normal work mode. However, in his excitement to get to his phone and figure out what to do with the drugs he managed to trip himself in the water, and with a huge splash he went down. His instant reaction was to yell ”What the fuck?” as he tripped.
Ryota felt a lot of things as the rest of his body and clothes got soaked, mostly anger, and embarrassment, his face was beet red as he managed to stand back up, his once dry clothes now soaked. He marched out of the water, glaring at Reiko as if to say 'don't say anything about this'. He shook his hand to get as much liquid off as he could before checking his phone.
The text gave him the location and time for drop off, however this information didn't make him feel any better about what had just occurred. ”Well, I got the text....” he said, his voice clearly indicating his rather unhappy mood. 'Great, now I'm going to get my car seat wet, and our boss is going to think I'm an idiot' He thought as he pulled a hand up to his head to rub his temple. All the while trying to avoid looking at Reiko, whom was probably having a great time with what she had just witnessed.

Reiko couldn't help but have a smug grin on her face while she watched Ryota, listening as he answered her question. "Being in the water? I just imagine it would be refreshing." She answered, not desiring to speak out her thoughts further on the subject. Soon after, she heard as Ryota's phone made noise and she watched as he suddenly attempted to leave the water, tripping in the process. She had raised her hand towards her mouth, chuckling at the fact he had managed to trip. It wasn't anything personal, this was just something she found funny and appealing. It didn't help that Ryota had shouted, making the whole incident even more amusing. She remained sitting, watching him as he marched out of the water, unable to keep her thoughts contained. Dripping with good looks. She smiled when Ryota had glared at her, not at all bothered by it.
"Alright." She answered as she slowly stood up from the sand. She wiped her clothes, attempting to get the sand all off. She watched Ryota, attempting to try and figure out what he might be thinking. Is everything okay? It is just a little bit of water. She thought to herself as she watched him. She found herself moving closer to him. "Tell me what is on your mind." She answered, hoping Ryota would tell her. Perhaps she could make things better for him? It was worth a shot anyway.

[attr="class","monbody"] Much to his surprise, he wasn't met with a lot of laughter or ridicule from his pink haired counterpart. And admittedly, he may have been over reacting, which he realized as she approached him. Allowing his hand to fall from his head, he produced a soft sigh as he looked down at the girl, it wasn't her fault he fell, even if she was the reason he went into the water in the first place.
His facial expressions softened, and in an attempt to reel back his initial disgruntlement he answered, “I just hope our boss doesn't ridicule me for delivering those drugs like this,” he motioned to his soaked clothes before adding, ”also was not planning on trying to swim today.” Ryota was a realist, and realistically he believed that there was no time to waste worrying about these things, he still had a job to do. 'Even if this does absolutely suck.'
”Thanks,” he mumbled, unsure of why he felt the need to thank her. 'Well, she didn't make it worse for me, so that calls for a thank you, right?' he thought internally trying to justify why he would say such a thing. He leaned down, grabbing his socks and shoes, he wasn't going to get sand in them too before attempting a smile at the woman. ”I guess I have a deal to finish...” He said, indicating that it almost time for him to go meet his fate with the boss.
A small part of Ryo kind of wished he had more time with the other, because all things considered he actually had a pretty good time. Most of his deals were mundane and simple, but adding Reiko in the mix provided the perfect amount of excitement, or at least the man thought so. ”Hopefully, we can do this again sometime.”
