Though this isn't to say he doesn't want friends, or that they don't exist to him. A friend for Eli would be someone who can help him navigate the city in order to expose the truth of all the violence and corruption, or maybe someone who can show him that there is more to life than just trying to find the next news article..

Eli's goal in life is to get the truth and tell others about it and it's all fun and games until you're the one being exposed. Eli definitely has a track record of getting dirt on people, so having someone who would hate him for this wouldn't be so crazy.

Hey guys, I am happy to announce that I am finally looking to build my team, as we grow we'll need more manpower to keep this site open, active and fun! I understand that we are brand-new but it's better to start now than later. Below I have laid out a guide to what I am looking for as far as administrators go.
Someone who can code templates- this is important because sometimes members need help with different templates, and to help fix any problems with the app (it's kind of a tricky little thing, I'm sorry I didn't make it easier).
Someone who can check grammar and spelling in important posts and updates --- Sometimes I make mistakes, and errors and it always helps to have someone with a keen sense of observation to correct those things.
Someone who can help me advertise --- this site is pretty new and it would be great if we got new members, so I need someone who knows how to get the site out there to where we can go to find new members.
Someone who accept or deny applications--- this is pretty self-explanatory however this is a very important job because you need to actually read the applications and be sure that it follows the site rules, plot and the application guidelines.
Someone willing to help create events --- I’d like for everyone of my staff members be able to do this. This will be our most important job because it will require all of us to put our heads together to come up with interactive events for all of our members to enjoy.
I know it doesn't seem like a lot, but as I work full time it is what I need at the moment and more important duties may pop up as we grow. Welcome, guests and new comers to The Decline. My name is Tik and I will be your lovely host admin. This site was meant to open a few years ago, but life happened and I took a, pretty extensive, hiatus. I recently decided to give it a go and open the site- almost as was. So, there are still a few features that are unavailable for the time being (i.e. a character store and the point system, and our FAQ). I am also still revising our member groups and locations (though I do not expect any of it to change characters or threads that you create now). As the site grows, so will our story. The Yankan was the first gang to appear in the city of Keibetsu (rumored to have been started in the late 90's or early 2000's) and compose of an estimated one thousand members. Their leader is unknown but they seem to control most of the project areas of the city. They are said to be to main source of physical violence and robberies among civilians, and are rumored to the top movers of illegal firearms and substances in the city.

the inago
The Inago is the second gang to appear in Keibetsu (rumored to have started in the early in the early 2000's) and compose of roughly seven hundred members. They are believed to be more centralized in the uptown areas of the city, and are rumored to be from the more upper-class communities. It is also believed that they play a big part in bribing politicians to make decisions to benefit their drug market. the officials
The officials are employees of the Japanese government. Their jobs are to uphold the peace of Keibetsu at any cost. Police officers, investigators, politicians and members of the Special Task Forces are what compose this group. They claim to be all for the city and reclaiming what was lost to violence.
The Task Force is s a sub group that is close-knit with the cities police force, they are primarily focused in shutting down the gangs. They have their own set of detectives, investigators and officers. The task force was hand picked by the government and sent to the city in 2016.

the commoners
The commoners are citizens of Keibetsu who have no place in the ongoing war between the rivaling gangs. They are neither gang members or government officials. However, the commoners are most effected by the ongoing power struggle between the groups, they are most at risk of violence and crime. Rumors have started that an activist group is slowly forming, raising money to help the government push the factions out of the city.

Both the Yankan and Inago have one Leader (or boss), and one Co-Leader (or second in command), below them there isn't much else as far as structure. Any member or associate beneath would be a "kobun" (soldier or gangster, will also work) of the gang. Jobs would include: thieves, narcotic/weapons trafficker's, extortionists, hitmen, etc. etc. This isn't to say they can't have common cover jobs such as bar tenders, singers, truck drivers, so long as both are specified in the application.
ARE THERE AGE LIMITS/GAPS FOR THE MEMBER GROUPS?
Technically no, you can have a character be as young or old as you want however, it must be in the realm of reality. I.E. a ten year old child wouldn't be a gangster or a police officer (though their parents might) and someone who is eighty years old probably wouldn't be on the streets dealing drugs and running from the cops. Also, all characters in this site are human, so try to be as realistic as you can.
CAN MY CHARACTER LATER BE RECRUITED INTO ONE OF THE GANGS?
Yes, if you create a commoner or official they can possibly be recruited in a gang of their choice, however this will be a special "event" that will later be introduced in our shop once it has been created.
